  • Fencing around the gardens at the Early Childhood Center to keep out the deer.

  • A rock garden on each side of the entry to the primary school.
  • A learning center - table and benches at the end of the gardens that are along the McDonald's fence line - near the entrance to the bus parking lot.
  • Small storage barn in the garden section we call the Hill Gardens
  • Hoop covers to protect gardens from deer in areas not conducive to fencing.  (Sort of like a cake cover for gardens made out of aluminum pipe and deer fencing.)
  • International garden benches along the nature trail and throughout the gardens.  Our schools are attended by children from more than 20 nations.  We would like to have a bench with a garden saying in the languages of each of their home countries.

  • Build and install a series of informational and educational signs along the nature trail, i.e. identifying the papa grove and some of it's  folklore. These signs will facilitate self-guided tours and support the lesson plans used by the classes.

  • Stage 1 of phase 2 of our nature trail. We have a couple of acres behind the elementary school that we have identified as an area we want to develop as phase two of the nature trail.  Eventually, we hope to make this section of the trail handicapped accessible. This part of the trail will be done in stages.  Below is list of some of the possible Eagle Scout projects associated with this area.
    • Build a bridge to provide easy access to the area
    • Mark the lay out of the trail, clear where necessary, line with fallen trees, lay down mulch.
    • Build and install benches and informational trail markers.
