Science Day
The 2nd graders plant the dahlias their Science Day activities the last week in April.
The following spring, these same 3rd graders, propagate new dahlias from cuttings and seed. There are three work sessions for this group in the spring.

In February, they "wake up" some of the dahlia so they will begin to send out shoots and plant dahlia seeds in a search for new varieties.

"Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you plant."  Robert Louis Stevenson
