  • What to do:
First thing in the morning, each group  puts their corn into one of the small white buckets fills it with water.  It should soak for 1 1/2 - 2 hours.
When it is time, each child will take his ear of corn out of the water and shake it to get off the excess water, then lay it on the grill.
The corn will be turned and cooked with the lid down for about 15 minutes.  ( The water will heat up and stem the corn.)  Then each leader will remove the ear of corn at a time.
Holding the corn in one hand with an oven mitt, she will use a clean towel in the other hand to remove the corn husk from the corn  and put it on each child's plate.  Removed in the manner, almost all of the silk will come off as well.
