Thank you so much, again,
for coming out to visit the school last week and walking the
grounds with me. Your feedback was wonderful and will be a
huge help with getting us started this season. I also
appreciate all of your honesty, it will help our school's garden
be much more successful in the future. We are so lucky that you
are located so close to us!!

| The Tool Bank
is a depository for in-kind donations that can be utilized by the programs
in the Schoolyard Nature Network. Most of the things needed for a
school garden program are available through in-kind donations from
businesses and individuals. Establishing a central location for
donations and having one group voice rather than multiple voices asking
for donations offers the opportunity for relationship building.
Establishing mutually supportive relationships with in-kind donors is a
key factor in sustaining a school garden program.
We have established relationships with
local growers who donate overstocks of plants and other
material. We also encourage the community to donate
anything that might be useful in the gardens.
Basic tools are made available to
organizations in the school garden program incubator to help
them through their first year. Look for more
information on this program in the next few months. |
